Our Curriculum
Christian Education
Chesapeake Christian Academy uses the ABEKA curriculum. ABEKA is a Christian-based educational method that focuses on phonics and early reading. The curriculum has been developed and refined over 50 years in the classroom at the Pensacola Christian Academy. The ABEKA approach to Christian education keeps learning lively, interesting and memorable.
Bible
Students are led through the stories and truths of the Old and New Testaments, including Bible doctrine and application at an age-appropriate level.
Reading
Serving children from infancy through third grade, our reading program builds strong early literacy skills through engaging stories, hands‑on activities, and a solid phonics foundation. We believe children learn to read so they can read to learn, and we support that journey by helping every young reader grow in confidence, curiosity, and comprehension.
Math
A robust teaching program for early education to a more advanced level.
English
Because thought and language form the foundation of learning and communication, teaching grammar, spelling, vocabulary, composition, and literature is vitally important.
